I took a photo of these on the way home last week. The one in the back is a young one, almost full grown. He doesn't have the red on the top of his head yet. He appeared to be standing guard while his parent was eating. There is a detail below. Its 8 x 10 oil.

These sand cranes in their natural habitat almost remind me of prehistoric times the way it is layed out. You did a really nice job at capturing the feel of how the cranes were interacting with the environment.
