Daily Painting 196 Snap Dragons at the Orange Grove
It started out as a plein air, but it started to rain and I had to run. Its at Peterson's Grove in Vero Beach, its 8 x 10, oil, mostly knife, some brush. I drove right by these snap dragons and didn't see them. When I walked back looking for a place to paint, there they were. I got everything finished before it rained except for the background orange trees. I didn't like my rainy looking sky so I brightened that up too. $300.

Nice variety of trees in this -- also the snapdragons. Isn't it funny how we sometimes don't see what is right there all along? And lucky when it suddenly comes into view!
Paint on,
Jenna

Thanks Jenna, yes I was so surprised to see them. Of course, I was driving but still.
