Daily Painting 213 Surrealistic Fantasy
Here is an old pencil drawing of mine, my old style from about 25 years ago. I got tired today, couldn't manage a painting so here is this instead. Plus the computer was acting up, I had the devil of a time getting it on line. Hours! I am sure everyone knows how that goes! Its not for sale. 5.50 x 8.50 inches, graphite on paper.

Daily Painting 211 Experimental Work in Progress Plant Sale at Heathcote Botanical Gardens
I am in the mood to play with a new technique, well its not new, but its something I haven't done. This layer of paint has to totally dry before I can finish it. The idea is to paint over this layer, letting a bit show through here and there and create an interesting vibration of colors. I want to show that it was a bright and busy day at the Spring plant sale at Heathcote. Its 5 x 7 with a thin layer of acrylic paint that I will go over with oil paint.

Daily Painting 196 Snap Dragons at the Orange Grove
It started out as a plein air, but it started to rain and I had to run. Its at Peterson's Grove in Vero Beach, its 8 x 10, oil, mostly knife, some brush. I drove right by these snap dragons and didn't see them. When I walked back looking for a place to paint, there they were. I got everything finished before it rained except for the background orange trees. I didn't like my rainy looking sky so I brightened that up too. $300.

Daily Painting 189 Yellow Trees in Jensen Beach on Indian River Drive Plein Air Alla Prima
I am not sure what they are, they are in bloom all over Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach. I like them and I am probably going to paint them some more. I don't think they bloom for too long. I was in Jensen Beach today at the Indian River Drive Park. Very nice lots of children running around and coming to look at my painting. Their moms point at my painting and say stuff like, "You can paint like that too but you have to practice a whole lot, it takes a lot of work and maybe some day you can paint too. " Sounds awful! hehehe, To any kids looking, painting is fun, play with it and make a mess, and someday after a lot of messes you will start making good paintings too with some messes in there too every now and then. Its 8 x 10, oil, knife and brush plein air alla prima. $200.
