I have exciting news, I was juried into our local botanical garden's Christmas Art Show. All ten of the paintings I entered were accepted into the show and one sold before the show opened! It will open tomorrow, December 8,9, 15, and 16 from 6pm to 9pm. Admission to the gardens is $6. If you are in or near Fort Pierce, Florida on those days its well worth the trip to see the Heathcote Botanical Gardens Christmas in the Gardens. They have thousands of lights strung all over and it is a wonderful spectacle.All the paintings below are mine with the exception of the small painting on a wooden board. All the paintings are alla prima plein airs with the exception of the shed which is studio painted. There I am too.
Today's painting was experimenting some more with monoprints, its shady bamboo.

Those fuzzy things are called "kaardebollen" or
Dipsacus fullonum. ;)
