This is a little shed in the back yard, the owner let us come paint today, we had lots of fun. I was attracted to the sunshine coming through the banana leaf stalks, it was glowing bright red. There is Queen's Wreath growing on the shed, its a lovely vine that looks a little like wisteria if you don't look too close!
Perfect day, nice breeze and shady, we kept looking at the sky, there were some storm clouds but they blew over without raining on us. I am surprised I came up with a painting, a big storm came through around 4 am, woke me up, winds and rain. I was worried we would be rained out and had trouble going back to sleep and then waking up again!
The painting is 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite lots of thick, juicy texture.
Florida Plein Air oil paintings, stormy landscapes, hurricanes, travel.
