This is in the herb garden at Heathcote Botanical gardens. I painted it a couple of weeks ago and just now got around to posting, my non-painting side of life has been getting in the way lately.
Last night's disaster was the hot water heater decided to start leaking. I am not sure how long it was leaking because the heater is in the garage. There was a half inch of water in most of the garage. I was up till midnight last night swabbing out water and most of today moving things around in there. I got sticky-sweaty and have a nice cold shower to look forward to tonight. Good news is they are supposed to instal a new one tomorrow. More good news is nothing that got wet mattered or at least what I have found did. I also got rid of a bunch of junk. More of that tomorrow too.
Back to the painting, it was one of those days where you start out with lots of layers and then start peeling them off. I think it would have been better to paint today and clean the garage that day. Its 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite,
Florida Plein Air oil paintings, stormy landscapes, hurricanes, travel.

I so love the soothing palette, Lori. The little lime-ish green leaves add a beautiful pop and yet they bring my eye to that blue-green succulent in the pot. I've dealt with the leaky water heaters. Fun, isn't it? But the good news is that you got rid of a bunch of unnecessary stuff!!
Thanks Sherry, So not fun, LOL! They are here now, new heater has a pan it sits in with a pipe that goes outside. Now I will have to check in 5 years or so that the pipe has no critters living in it to stop up the pipe. (here in Florida, ants, tree frogs, probably other creatures love pipes for homes)
