I had some paint left over on my palette from another painting and hated to throw them away so I made a soft background on a blank panel. It has sat for awhile and I took it out every so often to see if I would get some inspiration. I could see some palm trees wanting to come out of the mist so I brought them out, saw some more plants and here it is. I hardly used my painting knife at all, there is very little texture in this one.

Between the colors and the softness, I get a sense of the moors I think of when I read of them in England and Ireland. I know palm trees are not part of that vision but nonetheless, it is almost a tropical moor here. Just absolutely lovely, Laura!
Thanks Sherry, I would like to see the moors someday
