I went to Immokolee today for the Art Mundo paintout. Immokolee is a historic home here in Fort Pierce. Its a lovely home and yard, a great place to paint. I had a good time, there is lots of nice things to paint there.
This is a pretty pond they have, its surrounded by giant ferns and these plants with small bright red flowers whose name escapes me. The butterflies love them and I saw a lot of giant swallowtails and zebra butterflies.
Art Mundo provided nice cold soft drinks and water and the owners of Immokolee gave us some donuts, I couldn't ask for anything more.
The painting is 5 x 7, oil on masonite.
Florida Plein Air oil paintings, stormy landscapes, hurricanes, travel.

I love the light you have in this one, Lori. It looks early morning light, yes? That type of light just always makes those greens shine.
Thanks Sherry, It was in the afternoon, the light was shining through the palm fronds, making them glow. :o)
