Daily Painting 1011 Hidden Cottage Florida Art

Its oil, mostly knife on a hardwood plywood panel. I got the idea from a photo I had taken looking towards a neighbor's home a few doors away. I pretty much invented the whole painting, I had fun with it. Its 5 x 7 inches with some nice textures. Click on it to see it larger.

Daily Painting 1008 House on the River Miniature Oil Painting

I had so much fun with yesterday's painting I thought I would do another miniature. This one is 2 x 3 inches also, oil on masonite. Its more detailed and less abstracted than yesterday's. I did use a tiny brush here and there, like for the pin head sized person in the boat. It won a blue ribbon at the Wood Carvers and Painters show.

This one is very tiny, 2 x 3 inches. I did it all with the painting knife. Its oil on a masonite panel. I like doing little paintings now and then, they are fun to do.

Daily Painting 1006 View from the Canoe Dock Plein Air Alla Prima, Oxbow Ecocenter

The painting is 8 x 10, oil on a hardwood plywood panel. I had a lot of fun painting it today, when I got out there was almost no water in the cut from the river. Lots of brown river plants were exposed and it didn't look very nice. So I figured I would just start painting and see if the tide came in. When I finished a few hours later there was lots of water and the lotus were floating on top.

We had a little freeze a week or so ago, it looks like fall around here, the hickory trees are golden yellow, and lots of smaller plants are purple or red.

This is a miniature oil painting, 3 x 5 inches. Its oil on varnished hardwood plywood. Click it to see it way bigger than life, you can see the wood grain showing through and the nice texture. It was a fun painting to do, an imaginary outback setting.

Daily Painting 1002 SOLD Skinny Dipping Hole North Fork of the St. Lucie River

SOLD This is loosely based on a photo I took by the North Fork of the Saint Lucie River. There are lots of nice old live oak trees with Spanish moss growing on them. Its a great spot for swimming as long as you aren't worried about alligators. Its 8 x 10 oil on a varnished hardwood plywood panel.
