Lori--found you through Rene's blog. I love the way you use paint--lots of it and the dramatic brushwork. To do a piece like this alla prima must take a lot of courage because I'm guessing once you get the paint on, that's it--so it better be right! I'll visit often. Jack
Thanks Jack, I wasn't scared a bit of this one, I was painting fast, most of that is painting knife, just a little bit of brushwork in the orange palm. I got rained on twice and when I was taking it down the wind caught my chair with the umbrella on it and sent it flying twenty feet. Its oil so if I make a mistake I just scrape it off so I was relaxed.
