You did a fantastic job capturing both that gnarled look of the painting while at the smae time making it look vital and alive.
I love such trees and your style in painting with your knife suited it so well.
Thanks Trine, I love our old oak trees around here, there are a bunch all around town I want to paint.
I'm brand new to your blog, and fell in love with this. Have you ever seen the movie called What Dreams May Come? with Robin Williams? If so, maybe you recall the scene toward the end involving a similar tree ... I love that movie and that tree, and now this one. Your color saturation is so rich, shimmering! I'm not a painter at all so can't critique (wouldn't, anyway) ... I just know I love everything I've had a chance to look at so far on your blog.
Thanks very much Toni, no I haven't seen the movie, but now I want to, I like Robin Williams. I am so glad you like my blog!
