Daily Painting 542 Vista at Adam's Ranch Plein Air Alla Prima
Its 12 x 16, oil. $500. It was a lovely day at the ranch, they let us paint there once a year. It was wonderful out and I got a lot of nice pictures for more paintings too. We saw deer and an otter and a lot of cool birds too.

Daily Painting 537 Guava Blossoms
Its 5 x 7 watercolor on Yupo paper. I had fun with this one, lots of splashing paint around. I have the nicest guava tree out in the back yard, its been having fruits and flowers for months now. Its been the best year yet for it.

Daily Painting 534 Malabar Orchids
I am experimenting again, I have no idea if there are any orchids called Malabar, but there is this spinach called Malabar Spinach. One of the ladies at Heathcote Botanical Gardens gave me some berries from their Malabar Spinach plant. She told me they had made some dye from them and I thought the color was lovely so I mushed up the berries and made this ink out of them. I thought it looked like a super purple for the orchids so here it is.
I have no idea how archival it is but it sure stained my fingers! The black is from an ink stick that I ground. I had a lot of fun with this one. Its 8 x 12, ink and berry juice.

This is an experiment, its oil on Yupo paper. I have always used watercolor or acrylic on Yupo so this was different for me. Its 7 x 11.

Daily Painting 532 Bridge at Savannah's Recreational Area Plein Air Alla Prima
Its 8 x 10, oil. It was very windy out today, I walked around for a stretch and when I came back the finished painting was jelly side down in the grass. I picked it up very carefully, it needed only a little fixing.

Daily Painting 525 Round Island Park Sea Grape Plein Air Alla Prima
I will be giving a painting demo on Art Walk night on March 12th at 6pm. Its free for the public so if you are in the neighborhood come on down. At Treasure Coast Art Assoc. 223 Ave. A, Ft. Pierce.

Daily Painting 523 Atlantic Cloud
Its 5 x 7 oil. This was a fun one, I was planning on painting this oak tree. My usual method of painting is to do a sky and then put the tree or trees next. I liked the sky so much I didn't want to cover it up with a tree so I put the ocean under it. Sometimes I just have to let the painting do what it wants. Its magical.
