Daily Painting 1038 House of Refuge Commission WIP

These are works in progress, I have a commission to do two of these paintings, each 18 x 24 inches of the House of Refuge in Stuart. They are going to go to two members of a family and they want them painted as close as possible alike. The client wants them like the 8 x 10 House of Refuge I did awhile back. (Daily Painting 1000) So I am painting them at the same time. I have about 8 hours in the paintings so far.

Daily Painting 1037 SOLD Fort Pierce Inlet State Park Plein Air Alla Prima

SOLD I painted this on site at the Ft. Pierce Inlet State Park. It was beautiful out not too cold or hot. I left out the buildings on the other side of the inlet. There are lots of beach daisies blooming now and the sea grape leaves have wonderful colors, it looks more like fall colors than spring. Reds, oranges, many of the leaves look like a work of art in themselves. The painting is 12 x 16 inches, oil with lots of nice texture on masonite.

SOLD I have been painting a lot lately, just haven't been posting. The weather has been beautiful lately, I haven't been online as much. I had fun painting this, broke a few painting rules. Daily Painting 1031 Entrance to Wildcat Cove Plein Air Alla Prima

We painted here at the boat launch again, it was nice and warm and cloudy again. The white egret was there keeping us company most of the time we were painting and we saw lots of dolphins again. SOLD I was sitting here in the gardens and the cat there came up and laid down. I thought I would see if I could paint her into the painting and she stayed there till I finished. They told me she is expecting, they are trying to catch her. I got finished just in time, it got real dark and started to rain. Its 8 x 10 oil, on hardwood plywood.

Daily Painting 1022 Azaleas in Heathcote Botanical Gardens Plein Air Painting Demo

Heathcote Botanical Gardens here in Fort Pierce put on a nice paint out today. They had a lovely breakfast and lunch for us. It was a nice day didn't see too much blue sky it was cloudy most of the time. The sun came out long enough for me to do this painting. I did it as a demo, its 8 x 10 inches on hardwood plywood.
