1719 Sea Fan Hideout
I sure hope this works. My computer died so I am using my tablet to type on. This is the first time I have posted a picture on the blog with my tablet.
The tablet does not do as good a job as my camera does. The painting is somewhat darker. There are more colors in the two fishes that are on each side. They look a little bleached out on my screen.

1712 Poinciana Hideaway
This one was a demonstration painting for a painting club in Sebastian. My usual way of doing a demo is to paint one or more at home and then paint close to the same painting for the group. That way I can smoothly paint away without thinking too much. I end up with at least two paintings that are almost the same. So I took this one and added the boat and house to it.

1711 Egrets in the Savannas, plein air
This was painted out at the Savannas Recreational Area on Midway Road back in March of this year, if you look back through the paintings you can see another one I did about a week before this one. I had planned to tweak it a bit but forgot about it and just now got around to finishing it. I remember it was really nice weather, not too hot or anything, now its in the high 90's!
Its 8 x 10 inches, Oil on masonite. Lots of nice textures.

1707 Parakeet Plant and Monstera Minature Oil Painting
This is Daily Painting 382 revisited, I never cared much for the composition, I am a lot happier with it now. I felt like it needed some more colors. I changed it from a traveler's palm into a heliconia or parakeet plant.

1703 Pepper Park Palms
Another one I tweaked, it started out as a plein air painting from 2005, I liked the composition but the sky was boring and the colors weren't thrilling either. So I took some liberties with the scene and added some flowers and boosted up the colors. Probably doesn't look like Pepper park any more but I am much more happy with it.
Its 12 by 16 inches, oil on masonite. $500.
