Daily Painting 1194 SOLD Sexton Barn work in progress
SOLD This is a plein air I did at Sexton's ranch in Vero Beach. Its a nice ranch with interesting cattle, I walked around a whole bunch to see as much as I could and decide where to paint. So I was tired when I finally started, I am not happy with the saw grass and other foliage. The plan is when it dries to put some transparent oil glazes on, this should make the painting warmer and bring out the colors I want in the grasses.

The pelicans are waiting for the fishermen to come and clean their fish so they can get some scraps. The painting is oil, 8 x 10 inches on plywood. Monday, January 03, 2011

Daily Painting 1186 Waves in the Indian River
I am finally getting back to painting and blogging. I had the bug from Hell, it lasted almost two months. I would get a bit better and then have to go back on another antibiotic. Its been a week now since the last antibiotic, hopefully it is finished for good now.The painting is 8 x 10, oil on masonite. Its almost all painted with the palette knife and has super texture. I had fun painting it, it was nice to get back to painting, it feels like forever.

Its a job and a half, I have too many plants! The painting is oil, 5 x 7 inches, framed,
