Some of you may have noticed this had been sold. Some patrons of mine purchased it for a gift and then the recipient saw another painting they liked better and they wanted to trade. Daily Painting 1157 Water Lily Day Plein Air Alla Prima
I went out painting with fellow Daily Painter Fawn McNeil Barr today.
It was wonderful! Hundreds of water lilies, all shades of pink,
white and bright fuchsia,
they were growing all over.
...I did one painting, was going to do more but this big egret came walking by,
right in front of me,
he was catching blue dragonflies!
Then some ibis came along too,
I just sat and watched and took photos.
I figured I could paint from them.
I am thinking if I paint these things,
nobody will believe me,
big white birds and big pink waterlilies!
Not too hot or cold,
lovely breeze, just perfect.

Daily Painting 1143 Moth Orchids phalaenopsis orchid
I painted these from a photo I took at Heathcote Botanical Gardens here in Fort Pierce. I took a whole lot of artistic license with them, not sure if there are any exactly like this in real life, you never know though, there are so many different kinds. This painting took four sessions to do, with drying time between each session. The painting is 5 x 7, oil on gessoed archival mat board.

SOLD Well, this is an odd size. 4.50 x 5.50 inches. I was experimenting, all of a sudden I saw a painting in it. Actually my studio mate Georgina Love saw it, said she saw a sea fan. I did too, tweaked it a bit and added the fish. Its oil on archival gessoed mat board.

Daily Painting SOLD 1125 Double Orange Hibiscus Miniature oil painting
SOLD This one was one I was having problems with a while back, I was looking for some painting rags and found it. I pulled it out and decided to play with it, it was this awful murky purple. I had been painting on yesterday's painting and had this big blob of cadmium red squeezed out, I had slipped a bit and thought that I would use it up here. I like it a whole lot better now and I didn't waste any paint, LOL! Its 4 x 6 inches, oil on masonite.

Daily Painting 1115 The Beauty of Mother’s Place
This was one I painted awhile ago from life. I was at fellow artist Julie Lounibos's home, she let our group the Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast paint there, its her mother's house. I wasn't happy with the way my painting came out so I tweaked it a little and I am much happier with it now. Daily Painting 1113 Beach Garden
I had to do another painting demo, the student wanted to know how to paint in acrylic. So this one started out acrylic on matboard. I did it very fast, I hate to bore students. I got it home and didn't much care for it, let it dry and then tweaked it a bit with some oils. (you can go over acrylic with oil paints but you aren't supposed to do it the other way around, some day I want to try just for the heck of it!) Its 5 x 7 inches,
