1736 Old Bottle Brush Tree at White City Park, Plein Air Alla Prima

Painted this at White City Park with the Martin County Plein Air Group and some of our Ft. Pierce Group. It was a little overcast but it didn't rain and wasn't too hot or cold, lovely out with great company! One of the Highwaymen, Charles Walker, was with the Martin County group
and it was interesting to meet him.
The painting is 9 x 12 inches, oil on linen canvas mounted on masonite.

1735 Fiery Hibiscus Florida Oil Painting

This one was hard to get a photo of, its very bright with pinks, oranges, yellows and reds. I used a knife and a brush on this one, its from a hibiscus bush in my yard. Lots of The painting is 5 x 7 inches, oil on masonite.

1734 Quiet Morning in the Inlet Plein Air

This was painted mostly last week at the Causeway Park on the Inlet in Fort Pierce. There were a few things I tweaked when I got home. This week I stayed in, it was 38 degrees and I was too creaky to want to go out and paint.

1733 Out at the Causeway plein air alla prima

This one is 5 x 7 inches, oil on Masonite, painted from life out on the Causeway park here in Fort Pierce. It was lovely painting with everyone in the plein air group. Perfect day, not too hot or cold very pretty out with lots of boats going by.

1732 Night Bloomers

I have these miniature night blooming cereus in some pots in my yard. They are beautiful at night and smell very nice too. The painting was painted in a negative manner, the lightest parts of the painting are painted first, and gradually going darker and darker. The dark background is painted last. This one is less painting knife painted, I mostly used a brush or three.
The painting is oil on canvas, mounted on masonite 8.50 x 11 inches.

1731 Morning at the Jetty Park plein air

I painted this a few weeks ago, just now got around to finishing it. It was mostly finished, I had forgotten a few shadows and I added some people and birds.
The painting is 12 by 16 inches, oil on masonite.
