Daily Painting 1073 Big Work in Progress and Painting Class

I have been working on this for awhile now, I want to do some more tweaking and put in some birds. I think its 18 x 24 inches, its at the Art Bank and I am at home now. Its oil on hardwood plywood. Anybody want to name it for me? :o)

I will be giving a class on painting water, reflections, waves, etc. at the Art Bank on Tuesday morning, June 1st at 10 am.. The cost is $25. for the hour long class. If you would like to learn some of my secrets, bring oil paints, palette, brush or painting knife and something to paint on. Panel, canvas or cardboard is fine.
Address: 111 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL This is the gray building that used to be a bank on Indian River Drive. I will be in the Underground, there is an elevator.

Daily Painting 1070 SOLD Royal Poinciana Seaside

Daily Painting 1065 Miniature Seahorse Painting ACEO ATC

I have been playing, these are some water-mixable oils. So it looks like watercolor but its not. They are lots of fun, you can thin them way down like watercolors (the background) and they also mix with regular oils too.

Daily Painting 1064 SOLD The Cactus Garden at Heathcote Crown of Thorns and Prickly Pear Plein Air Alla Prima

 SOLD  Another painting at Heathcote Botanical Gardens. I had to paint these crown of thorns plants, they looked so bright and unusual. I really enjoyed doing the prickly pear, its the first time I have painted one, I was happy with how it came out. The painting is 8 x 10, oil and mainly painting knife, it has lots of texture.

Daily Painting 1060 SOLD A day in the Gardens Plein Air Alla Prima

SOLD Its been one of those weeks, the fridge died Friday and I have been trying to keep food cold and find a new fridge that will fit where the old one was. Its kind of a small hole and the doors into the house aren't that big either. Finally found one Sunday and got it on Monday.

It sure felt good getting out and painting today at Heathcote Botanical Gardens. It was lovely out and afterwards one of my fellow painters treated me to lunch at Mangrove Matties!

The painting is 8 x 10, oil and mainly painting knife, it has lots of texture.
