Here is Grant's Grocery and Deli, its in the town of Grant. Its down the road a bit from the Grant Antique Mall where I have some of my paintings. When I was growing up there were a lot of places like this, you could go in and get some snacks to take along before you went fishing.

Daily Painting 884 SOLD Breezy Day at Little Jim's Miniature Oil Painting

SOLD I have been wanting to paint this for awhile, took the photo a few months back. I decided to do it really loose, mix my paints and then put a stroke down and leave it, I wanted it to look fresh and crisp. I had a good time with it, usually I stress over buildings. Daily Painting 882 Feeding the Pelicans Work in Progress 2

Its coming along slowly, I still have some work to do on it. I had to stop at kind of an annoying spot, very close to being finished. There are three bird's heads coming close together and I wanted to be fresh when I did it so I didn't get mixed up with who's head belonged to which body and be able to make it all show correctly in the finished painting. Its 8 x 10 and I couldn't finish it all in one day, here is the start of it. I do the background of my paintings first, working from the top down. Next I will paint the fish cleaning station and then the men and finally the pelicans. Then I will probably tweak things a bit. Its not for sale at this time.
