Daily Painting 45 Blue Palms
Its 8 x 10, oil, I started it yesterday at Weatherbee Nursery. I did the little divisions at the bottom of the trunks at home. I am thinking the trees are about 5 years old as thats how many outside rings they had.
I may not sell this one, at the moment I am too fond of it, it was a fun one to paint, everything just fell together and I am very happy how it came out. Its one of those painting that I hardly thought while painting, sort of painted itself.

Daily Painting 42 Experimental Tropicals
First I made a black monoprint and then made ghost image. It wasn't that thrilling so I got some watercolor out and painted it. I think thats the second image here even though I loaded it first, its the lighter one anyhow. Thats okay but the black ink blotch on the one leaf bothered me. So I photoshopped it and played around with some filters and got the final image. Now I'm happy! Its 4.5 by 6.

Daily Painting 38 Fort Pierce Cottage
Studio painting from a photo I took downtown. Its 5 x 7, oil, mostly knife and a little brush. I started this one on Monday and finished it today. The paint was getting dry already and it feels really weird when you go over dry paint with a knife and the paint just goes in the top ridges and not into the valleys, so I usually use a brush when a painting takes more than one day to do.
