Daily Painting 20 Banyan Tree and Palms
Big banyan in my back yard, plein air. I was all set to do a little studio painting and the dog wanted out in the late afternoon. The light was so pretty, making stripes of sunshine on the lawn and giving a glow to the tree trunks I had to try and paint it. Its 8 x 10, oil all knife painted.

Daily Painting 18 Shed out Back
The photo of the painting isn't too great, the light wasn't the best. Its 5 x7 oil and all knife.
The plant is a porter weed, or rat-tail plant. I just bought it yesterday, I figure on using it for a model one of these days. Thats moses in the boat plant in the back, when the sun shines through the leaves it glows purple, there are some in the painting of the day.

Daily painting 7 Golden Bromeliads
This is a 7 x 5 inch painting, all knife, plein air. I painted it in my yard. It was close to sunset and the sandflies were swarming! These are very cool bromeliads, they grow about 7 feet tall at the tip of the flower spike. We have them all over now, started from one baby.
I am looking for a purple leafed bromeliad, I have seen a few in town. They get real big too. If any one has an offshoot they would like to trade for a 5 x 7 painting, I would love to trade with you. Sold

Daily Painting 2 Florida Garden
Sold
This is the second of my daily painting series, I hope I can continue it, sometimes it is difficult for me to do something like this and stick with it. This is a 5 x 7 plein air, oil, mostly knife painted. Its my plants out front. They are doing great this year, lots of them are from plants people gave me and then they just took over. You can click on any of the paintings and see the details better if you want. There is a link below to daily painters, there are a lot of excellent artists there and it is well worth a visit to the site.
