Daily Painting 869 After the Rains
Its sort of a plein air, I wasn't outside but this is the view of my overgrown garden from the studio window. We had some rains last week and everything got growing. It was 100 degrees today so I don't know how much longer its going to be this lush looking unless we get more rain. Its oil, 5 x 7 I mostly used a painting knife so it has lots of texture.

Daily Painting 863 The Vacant Lot
I did this from life, late morning its plein air done alla prima or in one go. Its a vacant lot across from the Treasure Coast Art Association gallery in down town Fort Pierce. From the gallery if you look North in the distance you can see these two washingtonian palms. The thunderhead clouds are forming in the distance in readiness for our summer afternoon showers. Its a miniature oil painting, 4 x 6 inches.
