Its oil on masonite, 5 x 7 inches. This was another one of my paintings where I started the background and let it dry and then worked on top. The different texture on the palm fronds is from a color shaper tool, its a lot of fun to use.

Daily Painting 1317 Stormy Beach
Its 5 x 7 inches, oil on masonite. This was a fun one for me, I had started it awhile ago by putting the cloud glow in, I didn't want to throw away that nice bright color, it was some left over paint. Plus I like to have a start on a panel, it helps me think up something to paint.

Daily Painting 1316 The Elegant Departure American Egret Painting
Its 8 x 10, oil on plywood. I had this underway for awhile, I had it all finished except for the bird's beaks which were not showing up well. I had to let it dry and then paint over them. Of course then I tweaked here and there a bit more, I feel happy with it now.

Daily Painting 1306 Twilight Forest gumbo limbos
I had no idea what to paint so I thinned my paints way down and made the background, letting the oil paints flow like water colors. I looked at the result and I could see the trees so I removed some paint and added more and started having fun.I think they look a lot like gumbo limbo or tourist trees. This wasn't planned it just happened that way. Do you know why the gumbo limbo is also called the tourist tree?
Its 5 x 7 inches, oil on masonite, $100.
