1523 SOLD Tropical Blue Bamboo Plein Air Alla Prima

SOLD I painted this today at the Heathcote Botanical Gardens in the Gloria Moore Memorial garden.  It was perfect today, not too hot or cold.  They are having a nice plant sale this weekend, I took a look at some of the plants they are selling, lots of lovely bromileads and other cool plants.
I took a few liberties with the plant positions, in real life there is a nice screw palm that I have painted before.  Its right in front of the bamboo.  I was enjoying doing the in and out lights and darks of the bamboo that  I didn't want to cover my work with another big plant.

I really love the color of the bamboo as well. Is that a water lily down below?
