Daily Painting 1459 High Water plein air alla prima

Its been a rainy summer and the water going through the park is much higher than normal.  I did the painting on site.  Its 5 x 7 inches, oil on masonite.

Greens and blues are always so visually appealing for me. You must have received the rain we lacked this past summer. I could just get lost in that beautiful sky!

It rained almost every afternoon or evening every day this summer. Everything is incredibly lush. The sky was cloudless in the morning and the painting was finished at noon and the clouds were coming in around 10:30. I think the rains are stopping now and its getting drier and cooler, its very nice now.
