Daily Painting 1400 Green House on Ave. D. Plein Air Alla Prima

I did this at the Souvenirs of Downtown Fort Pierce paintout so its not available right now.  It was fun to paint, I was sitting across the street with a friend of mine in a yard with no trespassing signs on it.   It looked like it was going to pour down rain too.  So we painted fast, figuring we would either get run off or rained on.  The rain blew over, one drop only landed on me and nobody made us leave.

Its 8 x 10,inches  oil on masonite.

I love the color of this house and the way your brush strokes lend to the perspective; I especially notice them in the roof and porch roof. It sounds like you were flirting with danger on this day but it sure was worth it. Another beautiful piece.

Hi Lori! I had a look at some of your paintings of houses and they are really beautiful. Do you enjoy painting houses and buildings as much as you do the flowers and plants?

I really like the house paintings, they have a strange strong feeling of "place" about them ... :)

Thanks Sherry! Lots of painting knife strokes, the broader ones and the thinner strokes are mostly brush.

I don't know, you made me think, LOL! I think I do, I am intimidated by painting buildings sometimes, this one was pure fun though. I had really good company and that always helps.
