Daily Painting 1365 Seagrape Splendor Plein air Alla Prima at Pepper Park

I painted this today at Pepper Park. This is on the Indian River side of the park. I started walking around on the ocean side, it was beautiful and I saw a lot of nice scenes to paint but it was very bright out with no shade where I would have to be.
I did some editing of the scene, in real life there is a dark black asphalt drive where the sandy trail is. I also left out the trash can and dock. The sea grapes are gorgeous right now, bright red and orange, each leaf is a work of art if you zoom your sight in. It feels so much like fall now, our hickory trees are golden and there are red Virginia creeper vines all over.
The painting is 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite.

One of my favorites to date, Lori. This could almost be along any of our rivers here in IL...were it not for the one palm I see peeking through. Love the gnarled old tree branches too. Beautiful work!
