Daily Painting 1363 SOLD The Bismark Palm at Heathcote Botanical Gardens

SOLD I painted this today at Heathcote Botanical Gardens here in Fort Pierce. I have painted this palm before, it has grown a lot taller since I have been painting it. The fronds have changed colors too, when it was young they were a silvery gray. I took some liberties with the background, there are some white walls I didn't care for so I got rid of them. The painting is 8 x 10 inches, oil on masonite. No brush used at all, its all the pallet knife and some blending with my fingers.

So beautiful, Lori! I didn't realize you also painted with a palette knife! Awesome job on the finer details in this piece!

Thanks so much! Most of my paintings are done in palette knife with just a little bit of brush work.
