I painted this at Heathcote Botanical gardens here in Fort Pierce. Its oil painted on varnished plywood, you can see the wood grain, it shows up a bit too much to me in the photo, I think the painting looks much better in person. Not too long after I painted it, I had to pack up and go home, looked like rain and it was getting very dark out. Nice breezy day before that though, not too hot.

Daily Painting 1261 Summer Colors Plein Air Alla Prima
