I was looking out at the sky and painted the thunderheads, then did the rest of the painting. I thought it needed something else so I added the two little egrets watching the storm approaching. Its oil, 5 x 7 on masonite.

Daily Painting 1097 Blue Night Forest Miniature Oil Painting
I was playing when I started this one, trying out a technique with lots of turpentine. I put it aside and then picked it up a few months later and saw the beginnings of trees in the paint. I picked them out with negative and positive painting and this is the result. Its fun to do something a bit different now and then. Its 4 x 6 inches oil on masonite.

Daily Painting 1093 Garden Shed at Hackberry Hammock Plein Air
Its 8 x 10 oil on masonite. I painted it a few months ago at Hackberry Hammock, wasn't too happy with it at the time so I tweaked it a bit. I like it a whole lot better now.
