Daily Painting 872 Seaside Garden

Its 5 x 7 oil, pretty much a fantasy painting. I looked at a photo of some plants sort of like these and there was a house in back of them. I didn't feel like painting a house so I did the ocean instead. It was one of those paintings thats a lot of fun to paint.

Daily Painting 869 After the Rains

Its sort of a plein air, I wasn't outside but this is the view of my overgrown garden from the studio window. We had some rains last week and everything got growing. It was 100 degrees today so I don't know how much longer its going to be this lush looking unless we get more rain.
Its oil, 5 x 7 I mostly used a painting knife so it has lots of texture.

These are some little orchids that grow wild here on the oak trees. The plants sit on the oaks and you hardly notice them until one day the flowers start appearing. They seem to be little brown butterflies flying about when the wind blows. Its 5 x 7 oil
