Have you ever counted how many strokes you take to paint a flower? It looks like you examined every inch of the flower to get it just right. Very nice indeed.

Thanks BJ, no I never counted strokes, you are welcome to try though, hehehe! I am thinking I would like to do a painting with the least amount of strokes possible, just for fun.

I saw a blog where the artists (plein air) used only 7 strokes to do the color study. Looked like they laid the brush to the canvas, moved it around to get the greatest benefit, lifted it, then did it again with another color.
