Ready and Waiting

I painted this on Jungle Trail in Wabasso this tuesday. I took some liberties with the boat, the boat that was there was a modern sailboat that didn't look good in the painting so I scraped it off and put this one in.
Its 8 x 10, all knife, oil. You can click on it and make it bigger.

Painted on site.

Lifeguard Stand in the Storm

The lifeguard stand at Round Island, another painting during the edge of Hurricane Wilma.

Painting during the edge of Hurricane Wilma

I painted this at Round Island Park in Vero Beach. Thats the ocean in the background and the very edge of Wilma. The painting and I got soaked and after I finished I made a dash to the car. I was under a pavilion and the rain was blowing horizontally right through. Those are the rain drops on the painting, they have dried off and the painting is fine.
